OUR LEADERSHIP

Since the very beginning, our leadership team has embodied our extraordinary commitment to supporting at-risk youth.

Board Chair: Naseem Caplette

“I believe in the ViaPath Foundation’s mission and I am excited to leverage my passion for driving meaningful change to deliver measurable positive impact for at-risk youth, returning citizens and the communities we serve.”

Naseem Caplette serves as Board Chair of the ViaPath Foundation and Director of Program Management at ViaPath Technologies, driving transformative initiatives at the intersection of technology and corrections. With 12 years of experience working directly with incarcerated individuals, she turns firsthand insights into programs and technology solutions that strengthen communication, foster connection, and reduce recidivism. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota, she combines operational expertise with leadership to create pathways for second chances and successful community reentry.


Board Vice-Chair: Jessica L. Artz

Jessica L. Artz is the Vice Chair of the ViaPath Foundation, as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer of ViaPath Technologies. She leads the company’s corporate social responsibility, employee engagement and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. 

In addition, Jessica oversees the execution of Marketing and Communications, Facilities and Administration. She also leads the Reintegration and Community Engagement function, where she provides tools, resources and support systems for individuals reintegrating into their communities post-incarceration 

Before joining ViaPath in 2016, Jessica spent four years with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) as a Director of Human Resources. Prior to joining GDIT, she was an international human resources manager for the Computer Sciences Corporation.


Board Member, Grantmaking Committee Chair: Edward Macejka

“A foundation’s greatest power is its ability to show young people that their story isn’t defined by where they start, but by the opportunities we help them reach.”

Edward Macejka is the Chair of the Grantmaking Committee for the ViaPath Foundation, as well as the Director, Talent Management of ViaPath Technologies. Mr. Macejka leads enterprise-wide workforce planning, leadership development, succession management, and employee experience initiatives. He is responsible for developing the grantmaking process and reviewing grant applications for the Foundation.

Prior to joining ViaPath Technologies in 2019, Edward held progressive HR Business Partner roles at CoStar Group, Lockheed Martin and CNA. Edward specializes in designing scalable talent solutions, guiding leaders through complex people challenges, and cultivating inclusive, high-performing workplaces powered by data-driven decision making, development-focused culture, and strong executive advising.


Board Member, Finance & Investment Committee Chair: Christopher Hemmick

Christopher Hemmick is the Chair of the Finance and Investment Committee for the ViaPath Foundation Board, as well as the Senior Vice President of Finance for ViaPath Technologies.

He has two decades of experience in strategic financial planning and analysis, business operations and development—as well as capital, cash and risk management.

Before joining ViaPath in 2019, Christopher served as Senior Finance Director at General Dynamics Health Solutions (GDIT) in Fairfax, Virginia. Prior to that, he worked in FP&A and Business Operations for Lockheed Martin, where he provided management and oversight of portfolios and programs within the Defense and Civilian line of business.

Christopher holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from George Mason University and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland.


Foundation Board Secretary: Tracy Purcell

“I believe change begins with connection. Through our support, we help build the relationships that empower youth to break cycles, transform lives, and reshape legacies—for good.”

Tracy Purcell is the Secretary for the ViaPath Foundation Board, and she also serves as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at ViaPath Technologies.

Ms. Purcell is an experienced Human Resources professional with extensive experience across all areas of HR. Throughout her career, she has supported organizations by leading initiatives in employee engagement, compliance, performance management, and policy development, while guiding leaders and employees through both day-to-day needs and complex challenges.

Ms. Purcell holds an active SHRM certification and remains dedicated to professional excellence, supporting both community-focused initiatives and the internal needs of the business.


AI Analyst: Antonio Sadler

Antonio Sadler is Treasurer of the ViaPath Foundation Board and serves as an AI Analyst at ViaPath Technologies.

Antonio joined ViaPath Technologies in 2021 after serving ten years in a South Carolina penitentiary. While incarcerated, he used a ViaPath Inspire tablet to access educational and job training tools, and stay connected with his family. Upon his release and reentry into his community, he applied for a role in ViaPath’s education department.

Antonio uses his talents and background to inform the direction of ViaPath’s products and services. He draws from his prison experience to create and evaluate programs, products and services that facilitate personal and professional growth among the incarcerated.
